Configuring Widget Language Strings

All visible text on the Talkative Chat widget can be changed through the widget configuration. This allows you to change the text to suit your business needs, or even localize the text to fit a different language set.

If you do not currently have a draft configuration available, please create one, and then choose the config which you would like to update. Please note, if you have multiple configurations, you may need to repeat this process in each configuration.

From within the Edit Config screen, look for the Language Strings tab:

The language strings section is broken down into different areas of the application. These are all listed on the left-hand side of the screen. The selected section will automatically update as you scroll through the options.

Depending on the feature set you use with your widget, there may be many config items which you would not use, please consider this when translating the widget into a different language, as you may not need to translate all the items here.

Find the section you wish to update, and then make a change. The chat widget preview located on the right-hand side of the screen will update in real time, so you will be able to see the changes as you make them.

Once you have completed the changes, click the "Save Draft" button at the top of the screen. Repeat this as necessary with any additional configuration you have. Once all the configs have been updated, you may publish the draft, and the changes will now be available in your production environment.
