How to use video chat closed captions.


Instructions to use video chat closed captions


Pre-requisites 

  • Available with all Talkative subscriptions
  • Ensure your chat widget is on version 0.45 or higher (upgrade this in your chat widget editor)
  • Video chat transcription must be turned on (search settings for "transcription")


Customer View

Customers can enable closed captions at any time by pressing the "closed caption" button.


This is disabled by default.


The system will remember the setting you have enabled/disabled on your device. 



Agent View


Agents utilise the exact same controls to enabled/disable captions.


This is set to disabled by default.


The system will remember the setting you have enabled/disabled on your device.  




Log View


The captions will display in the video recording, accessible in the interaction logs page.
