SMS for USA - A2P 10DLC Registration

What is A2P DLC? How do you register?

For all organizations in the USA, usage of SMS requires registration with A2P 10DLC.

What does this mean?

If you are using SMS for Talkative in the USA, you will need to register your phone numbers to be compliant with A2P 10DLC.

What do you need to do?

If your Talkative account manager has not already been in touch, please email support@gettalkative.com with the following information:

Tax ID

Please provide your 9 digit US tax ID. E.g. 12-1234567

Campaign description

Describe what you will be using this campaign for. 

Example: Using SMS to communicate with potential customers

Sample message #1

Provide an example of a message that you will be sending with this campaign. This message sample will be used by carriers to help identify your traffic. 

Example: Hi there, how can I help you?

Sample message #2

Provide an example of a message that you will be sending with this campaign. This message sample will be used by carriers to help identify your traffic.

Example: Thanks for contacting XYZ Corp. We will respond to you soon.

Message contents

Messages will include embedded links? Yes/no

Messages will include phone numbers? Yes/no

How do end-users consent to receive messages? (40-2048 characters)

This field should describe how end users opt-in to the campaign, therefore giving consent to the sender to receive their messages. If multiple opt-in methods can be used for the same campaign, they must all be listed. 

Example: End users opt-in by visiting www.examplewebsite.com and adding their phone number. They then check a box agreeing to receive text messages from Example Brand. Additionally, end users can also opt-in by texting START to (111) 222-3333 to opt in.
